I again write you to let you
know that I have returnd
to my command safe and
Sound my health is fine
The brigaid was ingaged in
a Contacked with the Enemy
when I got in hearen of them
we drove them back some
distance but in the charge our
line got scattured so the
had to fall back and the yankees
held the field Loss small on
boath sides we are still in line
but the have not renewed the

Contacked to day thare is
Skirmishing and canonadeing
along the lines evry day
I saw P.Walsh yesterday
he had recieved a slight
wound in the Side but not
cerious It broosed mor then
any thing else I think he will
return in 6 or 8 dayes &c
Finley was well a few dayes
ago Wm Whig Harvy and
Jesse Miller ware well when
the Started to yland &c
As I have no news I will close
write Soon and give me all the
news fron home and Wilkes &c
give my love to R L tell her to
writ doun in form me of
L. and J. Millers folkes
