Der sister after My respects to you and family I now embrace
the presant opportunity of ritting you afew lines to in form
you that I and the rest of the family ar all in reasonable
helth at this time and hope that this may find you
and family injoying the same of gods blessing I havent
nothing new to communicate to you more than charles has
gone in the sirvis and his lady braut forth afine sone
the 14 of february and they have named it Gregory Thomas
it is afine boy concidering where it came from
Sally Me and Nancy intended to go to see you last
week but owing to so much water we had to give it out
but if the lord is willing we will come by fore
long Nancy ses if you hant cut up Amanda green gingom
dress dont cut it till she sees you I want you to
write to me how you ar getting along and how Betey is
and if she has braut forth an air Well Sally I here that
the yankees is in Trentan again My paper is so bad
that I dont expect you can read my bad ritten
letter so I will bring it to aclose I want to now
