November the 27 1863
Dear sister I wonce more sear my self to pen you a few
lines to inform you that I and the rest of the family
ar all in reasonable helth at this time and hope that this
may safely reach your hand and find you and your family
injoying the same blessing I have nothing interesting
to communicate to you at this time Joseph Mumford has come home
onn a furlow until Christmas and then he expects to get discharged
Maranda was well last Friday I herd rite from her
well sal the sapsucker is gone all the southcarolina soldiers
is gone down in onslow keninsvill the last company left yesterday they didnt
like to leave by nomeans well I will change the subject
only I cant go to see you not til after Christmas
I expect when we go Avery Wilkins & Maud Brown will
go with us I will write to you and lit you no when we
expect to go we havnt set no time yet tell Nelly her
Mother has got well enough to go to sowing & Ales has bin
sold Again & one [??] bout her I don’t gess you will
ever see her any more I herd that he lived some where about
the railroads & caroline graves is out in the Whaley Town
sailing rount Bill Buck like she has bin all the time
he braut her home with him last week I expect he will keep
her with him what time he is home write to me soon as you
get this and rite how henrys arm is Nothing more at this time
