Dear Wife I Seat
my Self this morning
to drop you a fu more lines
By the Blesing of god I have
lived to See a nuther Marc[h]
and it found mee well in
health but no father can
I Say then then & hope
cums in for the future but
the result I dont know
times here is dark and gloomy
Soldiers lo in Spirits & our
curency is a nuth Stumbling
block in the way well
Mag I think you had beter
have your mony funded
in bons & all over five dolars
you had beter keep all the fives
I have got more mony than
I want to keep doun here
I cant by any thing it is of
no use to mee it is anuff
to make one Say good By to [????]

your leters yesterday I was
glad to here from you all
but was Sorry to here of
my Mothers affliction but
the Lords Will be dun
not mine nor thine I hop
She will recuver that is
all I can do for hur I hope

git home I wold like to
See the old lady very
much but it is out of
my power to do So tel
