Dear wife I sit mi Self don to write
you afew lins to let you no that I am
well at this time and hope when
these few lines cums to your loveing
hands that may find you and all of
the rest of the famley well and dooing
the best you can Dear loving wife
I will Say to you that I have rote too
letters besides this and hant had non
yet I want to hare from you and
all the Children how you ar gitting
along in this troubelsum world
Dear loveing wife we ar stil in
the gard house yet and I dont no
how long we will have to Stay yet
but we git plenty to eat yet
but we dont git anuf of Salt to
Salt our beef we draw flower
ever day now and fresh beef and
sugar and rice

the preacher he will bee in newton
the 14 of october and will take all
the boxes that is tuck ther and bring
them to us I want you to try and
send me ablankit if you can gitit
in the box and Send me som
salt and some coffee and some

wat you to forgit the blankit
for it is verry cold her I Seede
