Dear loveing wife I Set mi Self
don to wright you a few
lines to let you no that I am
well at presant and hope when
these few lines cums to your
loveing hands that they may find
you and all of our loveing children
well and dooing the best you can
Dear loveing wife I will Say to
you that I recived your kind letter
last knight and was verry glad
to hare from you all that you was
well and I also received the
Sacel you Sent with brother
paul and the things you Sent in
it one blanket and one pair of
pants and necklis and gloves
and socks and something god to
eate and was verry glad to gitit
for I needed it verry bad

loveing hands did cook one time

but Shed tears when I Saw the
things you Sent to think how
we all ways did live and now
I cant git hardley ennything to
eate ennymore Dear loveing wife
I hope and pray to god this war wont
last much longer and I hope and
pray to god to Spar mi life to See you
agane in this world and live with
you agane like we all ways did

letter that you wantted to no whether
I got the 10 Dollars you sent or not I
got it and I Sent you aletter the next
day to let you no that I had gotit but
I dont no whether you gotit or not
