Dear loveing wife I Set mi Self don
this morning to write you a
few lines to let you no that I
am well at presant and hope when
those few lines cums to your dear
loveing hands that tha may find you
and all of our loveing children well
and dooing the best you can
Dear loveing wife I received your
kind letter yestorday evening and
was verry glad to hare from you
all that you all was well you
Say in your letter that you have
to givein your tax agane and you
want to no Somthing about that
place don at waldens it is 144 acres
and I dont no how much tha
Sest it at you can tel them the [assessed]
number of acres and what I
give for it 720 dollars that is the way
I give it in

fence betwene us and lewis
Sigman me and lewis had devide
ed the fence long ago Sigman
makes from the odem branch
up to that big rock and we make
it the balance up to the Spring wher

ballance from the branch over
to the creak we hant devided yet
but we will keepe up the half
