Dear loving wife I Set mi Self
don to writ you afew lines to
let you no that I am well at
presant and hope when those
few lines cums to your loveing
hands that tha may find you
and all of our loveing children
well and dooing the best you
can Dear love I received your
kind letter last knight and
was verry glad to har from you
all that you was well Dear loveing
wife I Say to you that I have 14
more days to carrey mi Stick
of wood and then I will bee
free I carrey it 4 hours every
day too before dinner and too
after dinner it dont tire me
much I can kerry it mitey eassey
I can carrey it as essey as agun

Send me Some thing good to eate with
Mr Philip gilbert he is at home and
he Sed he would bring as much
as he could in pokes but he wont
take no boxes I want you to Send
Car to town on the 25 of this month
that is the day that he Sed he was a
going to start back and I think
he will bring me Som thing to
eate I want Some urnions and
Some pepper and Some good meete
i have got alittle of the ham that
you Sent you wanted to no whether
that Sower crout Spoilt or not it
dident Spoil it don me more good
then ennything I had Since I left
home if I onely had Some more
like it I would feel better I
want Something Sower to Soot mi
Stomach I have Some of the butter
you Sent and Some coffee yet

wheate yet I want you to Send
him word to bring it to you and
tel him you need it and if he dont
fetch it back I want you to rite
to me and I will rite him a letter
then and he must pay it for he
has owd it long enuf and I want
him to pay to you what mi part
of the money is that we made
with the jack for he has got it all
before this time So god bless
you I mus close for this time

world and live with you agin
