Dear loveing wife I Sit mi Self
don this morning to wright you
afew lines to let you no that I
am well at pres ant and I hope
and pray to god when those few
lines cums to your loveing hands
that tha will find you and all of our
loveing children well and adooing the
best you can Dear love I can Say
to you that I got the box you Sent
last knight and was verry glad
to git Som thing from home one time
more to eate for I dont git
nothing to eate her that is fit to
eate her I hant had one bite
of wheate bread this Summer
yet oneley what little I buy and
cant hardley git enny for the
money I bout too little biscuits
yestorday and I had to give one
dollar for them

that I have had this summer

tears when I all ways git Somthing
from home to eate to think how we
all ways could live and now we
cant git to see each other no more
but I hope and pray to god to Spar
our lives to See each other agane
