Dear loveing wife I have bin Spard
buy the murcey of
allmitey god to See the lite of another
day and I Set mi Self don this morning
to rite you afew lines to let you
no that I am tolerbel well this
morning mi leg hant wel yet
bu I am with the cum pany but
I hant don no dootey Sence we was
in the fite on the 25 of august
the doctors excuses me from doo
ing enny thing til I git better
Dear love I can Say to you that
iwas nareley wore out on
that march and in the fite
and not half well but I
hope and pray to god when
those few lines cums to your
dear loveing hands that tha will
find you and all of our love
ing children well and adooing
the best you can

fo august and I got it the 31 of august
and i was verry glad to hare from
you one time more and hare that
you all was well Dear love

you one time more and Stay at
home with you one time more

is Some talk of making peas be

find him atall we hunted til nine
or ten aclock in the nite for him
and it got So dark and rand So hard
that we had to leave ther and march
back to petersburg we had no Sleepe
nor nothing to eate in 48 hours and
all was verry nare wore out tel
Sarah that I will pay her what
ever is rite for the things I got
I pade half the cost for bringing
the box I pade one dollar and 50
cens So I mus close for this time
onely I Stil reme yur love
ing husband until death
parts us god I hope will have
murcey upon us and Spar our lives to See
