Dear Mother brothers and Sisters I this
lonsom Monday Morning Seat my
Self to drop you a few lines to
let you no that I am well in
hope those few lines may find
younes all well an hope these

the best you can Dear Mother
this is a hard world to live in
I cant live this way any longer
Dear Mother I am agoing [to?] the yankees
this is the last leter that I will
rite home meby forever I want you
all to do the best you can in
this troblesom world and if god
Spairs our lives we will each
other again Dear loving Mother I
wont you to Kiss lorah and Mary
and Sis for me and tell tem good
by for me I would give the world
to See you all one time more in
this trublesom world [????]

Dear Mother i hant had a bite of
meat Sense friday and only a pint
of corn meal for a day and that
not fit to eate So I hope god will
Spair our lives to Meet one time
