and family Seat my self
to drop you a few lines
to let you no that i am
wel hopeing when theas
lines come to hand they
wil find you all wel
i am at sailbury now
but we wil start to
raleigh at ten o clock to
day and whare we wil go
from there i dont no but
i think we wil go to wel
don or Petersburg the news
is they are fiteing at Richmond
now i sean one thousand and
thirty yankys that was taken
at drurys bluf thy are upon
the trane yestard day they
ware a fine looking set of
men they come on one trane

be foat out now soon
whe i rot you my last
letter i told you my close
was all at asheville but
i got them sence and have
sent some of them to Newton
i want you to get them i fold
them up in one of my blankets
an put my name on it go to

have nothing of much impotanc
to rite at this time i would be
glad to hare from you all but
i cant tel you whare to rit
for i dont no whare we wil
get to one thing i want you
to remember and dont for
get to Pray for me for i am

would like to see you all
