Dear father and mother I take the
oppertunity to right you afew
more lines I am not well but is
beter then I have bin hoping when
these lines Comes to hand tha may
find you all well I have got
out of the hospitel and is back
in Camp and I think that I will
be able to drill in afew days
Marion is beter I receved a leter
from you last night Stating
that you was all well which
gave me grate Satis faction
to here from you you rote to
no wether I Sent aleter to
Susanna Sexton er not I
did and I want to no whether
She got it er not and what
you wanted to no fur and
what She Sed about it

now every day thei have had
abatle at nofork last weeke
thei fout four days and Sunk
three yankys vesels I wood
like to see you all very well
but I dont expect that I will
tel my time is out fur thei
wont gave a furlow without

I dont intend to dooit so
I must Close my leter gave my
best respects to all of my
friends and tel them to right
to me and I will to them So I
