i tak my pen in hand one
time more to let you all
now that i am well Ever
hoping when these few lines
comes to hand tha will find
you all well at this time
i hant eny nuse to rite at this
time more then you hav
herd the talk is her in camp
that wee are goying to advance
on the yankes or gow to
the west our camp fare is
good wee git aplenty to eat
now frankling childers has
got aferlow he will Bee at
home in a few days
