dear father and mother
one time more i take my pen
in hand to let you now
that i am well and harty
hoping when these few lines
come to hand tha will find
you all well
i will say to you that wee
hav had a long march wee
Start the yanks at colpeper
and run them 50 miles
wee look for them to stop
and fight us ever day and
wee over took them at
Braulrun and had alitle
fight our Briggade warnt in
the fight But was in the
line of Batle each Briggade
faught then when tha
open fire on them tha
