father and mother brothers
and Sisters after my best re
spects to you i will in form you
that I am well at this time truly
and for ever hoping thes few lines
may reach you in due time and
find you all well and doing well
I havent received no letter from
home Since Calvin Childers come
down I be gin to think you have
forgotten me but I hope not
and if you haint forgot that
you have got a boy Named thornton
i want you to rite him a few
lines and gave him all of the
news in Ashe I have no news
interesting to rite at this there
is no war news Stirring in camp
every thing is Still a long our
lines I havent heard from
