Dear Mother I again seat my self for
the perpas of Droping you afew lines to inform
that I am Well at the present time and I hope
that thies few lines may reach and fined you
Enjoying the Best of helth. Mother We hav a nice
place to stay at We are Camped in alarge oake
Grov about ahalf mile from kenansville.
We hav a splendid Well of Warter. We are
Camped right on the fare Ground, Mother
I hav no newse of any importance to Write.
We hav got three company of our Regt here
and the rest is at charleston. We hav three
Cavelery company here two peices of artillry
Making in all three hunard, We hav lost
about one hunard Men from our Brigad
since it to charleston, in killed and Wouned
three killed from our Regt and 8 Wouned.
it was reported here last night that the
Was advancing on us, But they hav not,
come yet, Mother We lost one Man last
Weeke, he died at Magnolia his name
Was John Haladay, all the rest of our
Boys that here is in fine life at this
time, Mother the peeple is veary good to us
they giv us a good many things to eat thing
is not neare so high as they thare in Wilamington

newse for I Want to here from you

here that the War Will end By christmas
