Panther Creek N C April 11th
Dear Brother I seat
my self to drop you a few
lines to inform you that we
are all well and hope these
Few lines may find you well
& doing well we Recieved
your kind letter last Friday
and would have wrote sooner
but the River has Been up
so the mail could not cross
Mother has Been down to
Waughtown and to aunt Lucys
and aunt Betsy Hicks they
are all well and getting
along Fine she went last
Friday and came Back to day
a monday she went with
Mrs

I must tell you that they
have not got the Nadings
Boys yet they have been after
them evry night since
Ervan Dull got away From them
right straite and he is in
the Bushes yet Mr Harden
came along here Last wendsday
and Brought them Pins and
some coffee Mother was so
Pleased with her coffee she
did not know what to do
she was very much oblige
to you For them she said
I must tell you she took
a good mess of Coffee and
thought of you their has been
a heap of rain For the week

By the First one that passes

I have no news to write to

William Brann is at home
on Furlough they commenc
enrolling at Yadkinvill
to day they enroll From

well and doing about as
allways whe said I must
tell you that me and her
Keep house while mother
was gone Bet said tell
Billy she dident cry a bit
while mother was gone gran
mother said she hoped it
wont Be long till you can
come home we are going to
try to have evry thing good
to eat we can till you come
we have not planted no corn
yet it has Been so wet
I must close writ soon and
