Dear Master As
I have
the opitunity of writing
to you I feel it my
duty to do so to let you
know how Mas Eddy and
myself are we are
bouth well at this time
and hope that those
few lines will find
you the same and
enjoying good health
Mas Eddy is on his way
from Kinston to goldsboro
and expect him her
soon in the course of an
hour or so he may wrote

to you himself but may
not have time when he
gets her we vacuated
kinston yesterday and
also burnt the bridge
and gun boat he was in
fight come out Saft
he <??> Willie we are expec
ting to go to Raleigh but do
not know I think that we
will get <????> as
Soon as this fight is over
I think Mas Eddy R Wills
has had great prais from
thee fight we ask you
for you prairs I remain
