Biography: 

Albert Marlow (b. ca. 1828) was a Wilkes County farmer and served as a private in Co. D, 26th NC Inf. He was captured at Gettysburg, confined at Fort Delaware and Point Lookout, took the loyalty oath, released in January 1864, and enlisted in Co. C, 1st U.S. Veteran Volunteer Infantry. At the time of the 1860 census, Marlow and his wife, Cass (b. ca. 1832), had no children.
