Dear father I take this opertunty
to Drop you a few lines to let you
know how I am geting along I am
Well at this time and hope When
thes few lines reaches you they
may find you all Well I hav no
news of importance to rite to you
We left fredericks Burg on the third
and got to Culpeper on the 7th We
hav Stopt hear to cook up rashing
gs We got orders to cook three days rash
ings it is reported hear that We ar
going to pennsilvania but as for
my part I dont no Wher We Wil
go to; the yanks hav left frederi
cks Burg and ar going to manassas and
ar fortifying their I hear that
Jeneral hill give them another
Whiping at fredericks Burg but
I cant say Wheather it is So or not
I cant tell you Wher We Wil go
to but I think We Wil go to War
