Frederick K. Livingston (b. ca. 1823) was a fairly wealthy farmer in Orangeburg District, South Carolina. His mother was a Jefcoat. He was cousins with several Jefcoat men, a few of whom lived with him, including Henry Wiley Jefcoat (b. ca. 1842), a mechanic, and J. J. A. (Joel) Jefcoat (b. ca. 1837), a teacher. He served in Co. A, 15th (Lucas's) Battalion South Carolina Heavy Artillery.
