My Dear John
I seat my sef this evening in order to communi
cate to you a few lines with great pleasure. I a[t]ill have
the tooth ache, otherwise I am almost completely crazy
the baby sisy is quite well at this time and I do Sincerely
hope this letter may reach you enjoying the best of hea
lth and in good spiretes Dear John I have not received
anny letter from you this male I am at a loss what to
conjecture wheather you have groon cold and carless to
wards writing to me is a mistery I cant unr[a]vil but I hope
this is no the case with you this being the first weeak you
have missed writing to sence you have ben down there so I am
very mutch disapointed in geting a letter from My Dear
John this weeak Dear John I have receved those newse
papers you so kindly sent to me by Mr J S Robison I have spent
the most of my time the last two days in trying to read them
over wich was a gret sadisfaction to learn of all the late
newse so you did me a great favour by sending them to me
I can never forget your kindness toward me since you have bin
down there it is a heart breaking thing that you are not
permited to come home once again it has bin two months

Dear John do not miss writing to me every weeak while you s[t]ay
down there for that all the pleasure I have now to receive a letter
from you a worth a all I can learn other wis some times am
afraid you are sick and was not able to write to me last weeak
I hope this is not case with you but if thes should be the case
you must come home . never rest till you get a furlow,
severl came home last weeak on sick furlows and why
should not you. Dear John I wll not see a moments peace
tell I heare from you agane. Dear Jon write emmeda
tely and let me now what has be come of my Dear John
I must come to a close by saing rember your Affectionate
Wife. I will wite to you as longe as I am able to write and
have any thing to write on and pen and ink to wrte
with. acept and undying kiss and hug from your
