My Dear John
I againe seat my self in order to
drop you a few lines which leaves us all tolerable
well, only Ann ahe has a verry sivere pane
in her rite sholder she has bin quite sick
all day with it a very strange thing she ses
her whole arme feels dead from the misery
she hasent any doctor yet if she contin
ues so she will have to send for one soone.
My Dear I written you a few lines yesterday
by mile which I wrote in a few minutes
we did not git our letters till four oclock
in the evening so I didnot have time to write
as I would like. I dont no what I did say in
my last as I was a little out of sort I hope
I said nothing wrong if I did I beg to be excu
sed and will try to doe better here after
My Dear John I have but one new
shirt at present so I will sent the blue
one you frawed it will doe for an under
shirt. I will make you another as soon

as I can weave some cloth I will send those shir
ts down by some of the negroes tomorrow for John
North to take them to you. I hope you may
get them before you leave charleston if shou
ld have to go. My Dear I fele like you are gone
for ever if you have to go to richmond,
some one will dye an I dont no who it will be
My Dear if leave for virginia an pass orangeburg
for my sake do come by home home so may have
the pleasur one more time to look upon thee and
I would have many thing to say to you about the
past I will look for thee with a longing mind
the two children are both will an harty at this time
they would be more than glad to see you come
the bab hasent mutch acquantance with her pah
yet I would like for you both to form better
acquantance soone with each other so you mig
ht know each other when you meat. my Dear I
will write you he name your mother has give her
Rosetter Mariah how doe you like the name
my love to you an best respects. sisy send hers also
my Dear take care of your self where ever you
may be. Oh if I could see you driving up to the
gate this evening how hapy I would fell but
alas sutch is my fate. I live in hopes if I dye
in dispaire I will doe the best for the two chil
