Dear Husband
I take my pen in hand to drop you
a few lines to let you know that I
am well at present I am well at
your Pas to day they are tolerable
well. I have not got my hogs
up yet they have bin in a pea
pasture I come to day to see about
them Pa said he would get done
gethering corn to day he said he
thout he would put them in
that field and let them stay a wek
or so I think I will get them home
this week I built my pen yesterday
Dear willy you wanted to know how
much corn I maid well I dont know
exacly how much tye was ten loads
I thout we hauld 5 bu at a load
but I neve[???]ured it exacly turn over

W J got home friday knight I have
not saw him yet I will send you some
thing to eat when he goes back. your
Ma sais you shall have some potatoes
if she can get them to you. Bery
got home sunday knight he has 7
days your Ma is going to have a
sewing tomorrow I happened heare
in a good time it has bin so wet
I have not got my oats sowed yet
but I think I will yet I have bin
thinking bin thinking about letting
some boddy sow wheat on the
shears your Pa said it would be the
best against I would get some one to
sow it and hire it cut I would not
make any thing by it I did not
think. s[o] that is all I be lieve
so fare well my Dear Husband
