Dear Father I have No interesting
News to write you this Eaving
I have paid Mister Lowery of for My
Bording I paid him fourteen Dollars
and Sixty five cents So I have No
Money to Send you this tim
I wil Draw A gain in A bout
fifteen Days I think then I can
Send you twenty Dollars or
twenty five if I can Spar it
Father Chrismas is Most hear and I
have Not Seen the first partical of
frost yet & I havent Saw any ice either ill tell you it is warme hear
to what it is in Pickens Chrismast
is jest five Days of[f] & it is hardly
talk of hear though is thought that
the yankes intends to eat Diner in
Charleston city on Chrismast Day
But I dont think they will get to
Dine in Charleston if they do it
will Be A hot Diner the hotes they
ever eat
I hear that John Galerson & Saley
Berns is A going to Mary any person
that will Mary thes times is No count
on the face of the earthe

to Day A Bout twelve oclock
A Member of our Company John Bradbery
Died with fever he is A great Loss
to our company he was A man Large
& stout Jest in his prime his age
is A Bout thirty years
the general health of the Regt is
improving though their is A bout
thirty caces of fever & A Bout two
hundred caces of Measles and Momps
I would Like very much if it was So I
could be at home Chrismast and
Spend A few Days or houres with you
in consulting the war and what I have
Sen I have Seen A Nough to talk two
weeks with you that is two tedious to
write when you write to Me write whether
you volinteerd or Not
I would be very glad to No & to hear
that you had Not
write me al the News in Pickens
you will pleas excuses my bad writen &
composed Leter for I write in A herry
when this you do Remeber me
