Dear Father it is with
pleasure that I Seat My Self to Drop
you A few Lines I am well at this time
but afel tired we have bin on Review to day
Reviewed by General Riply the Review
was as prety A Site as you ever Saw to See
us March , to See two thousand Men Marching
in A perfect Line & to See them all Stept precisely
at one time ;
Father I am in prety good hops of geting to
go home Colonel Orr Recived orders from
General Riply Last knight to ferlow ten Men to
Morrow & from this time on till we all get to go
home So if the ferlowing Continues from this on
I think I will get to go home A bout the Last of
March ; this is all the News only our two
Companies Capt Millers & Parrens Landed on
this Island this Morning they have bin gone A
bout three Months I learn they are glad to get
back they Say they havent had enough to eat
since they have bin gone & their Loocks --

Capabel to Lead us thrue in the Storms of
batle , when the Colonel got thrue Speaking then the
Regt, was Dismisted to take their diners then it
was fromed A gaine as gard to gard the honorable
Colonel to the warfe where he was A going to take
the boat to Leave us the Regt, was formed in A
Colem in Rear of the honorable Colonel quarters
then the Colonel was brought out & plaiced in
the centre of the Regt, & his Staf officers with
hime then the Colem was put in Motion & March
Sweely away to the boat where we parted with
our honorable Colonel this is all the News to
Day ; tuesday Febuary the 4 the 1862

I am well to as Comen I Received your kind
Leter whitch was wrote the Second of Febuary
whitch I was powful glad to get you wrote that
you was all well whitch I was glad to hear also
I Received the Leter by Mr Dunlap
