Dear Father I Seat My Self to write
you My Last Leter on Sullivans Island
Colonel Marsahld Received the order
this eavning to March; the plaice we are
going is to Richmond not only to
Richmond but to Meet the enemy,
this is Saterday eavning; Colonel Marsha[?]
Says that we will Leave this plaice next
Monday at Eigh Oclock; Father
we will have to Send part of our Clothes
home My Self W.P. Maldin A.G. Dalton
Jesse Dalton & Charley Dalton will Send
to gether in A box the box will be
Mark to Mr. Maldin Directered to
Walhalla all the Clothes I Shal Send will
be Mark with your name on it
Father I Shal Say to you not to write to
Me any More till I write to you I expect
to write to you as Soon as I get to
Verginna if nothing hapens

as Soon as I get to Verginna & I want
you to write to Me as often as I write to you
if Posible I want to write once evry two
weeks to you
I will bring My Short Leter to A Clos
as I am geting Sleepy & as it is geting late

to all incuireing friens
& Receive the Same to your Self
Give My Love to al the family
& especialy to Litle John Freeman
tell Litle John if I Live whitch I hop to
to get back home if I ever get the Chance
