Dear friend
I drop you a few lines
which leaves me un well
but I hop it may find
you all well I am Sorry
to Say to yall that William
is Dead he Died
this morning about one
o clock he Died with the
typhoid new maney when
the regment left the sick
stayed at the camps and
william was complaining
a little and could not march
but he got worse and thay
sent us awl to the hospitlle
and he Died this morning
he was out of his head

put his nap sack and cloths
in the bagage room and
locked them up he was
well well waited
on after we came here
