Georgia Harris County Oct the 15 1863

Dear children I take this oppotunity to write you a few lines to let
you heare from us we are as well as common in hoping that thas few
lines will reach you and find you all injoying the Same like blessin
We receivede a leter from you to day And was Glad to heare from
you all. you wrote a bout your well and I want you to have
it to your self let Mr Chappell clean out his well and yeuse it
I dont want them to bother you about your water or about the
plantation not to have any thing to do with what I left to you
I want you to Sowe down the house feel in wheat and oats
you can get them taken care of beter than you can in
Corn and woant be half the trouble that corn will be
I will try to come out thare a bout the middle of Nove[mber?]
if I can and will Straiten out everthing So you woant be trou[bled?]
I hant heard from Neal Scence that big fite Henry is at Mrs
Whitehead yet and Alexander is in Columbus yet
theare are all well as fare as I no the wrest of the Connectio[n]
are all well I want you to write to us as Son as you get
a leter from Bryant So we may no wheare he is we hant
heard from him but one Scence he has bin in camps we
Rote to him the Same time that we wrote to you and hant
got any answer from him I want you to write as often as

Mr G W Burmingham Dear Sir I want you to Sell the corn
at 2 dollars a bushels if you cant get no more and get shet of
the trouble of hit and wrent out the land by feels if you can
fur I doant want any body live in the hous if it can be rented
without the house I dont want any body to live theare that will
trouble Lydia and the childre do the best you can with the land
if any body lives in the house I doant want them to get water at

Lydia well thear is a well at the place if they will clean it out
I want you to kill that yearlin that is out there and sell
the meat and keep the hide for me I want you to keep one fore
Qarter and devide it between you and Lydia and Save me the
hide and tallear I doant want any body that will pester Lydia
