To Mary S Fleming Dear Deaughter
I seat myself this
morning to write you a
few lines to let you know
that I am improving in health
hoping these lines may find
you all in good health I am
in the hospital at Greenville
tell your ma to git my
clothes ready as soon as She
can for I will come by home
when I leave the hospital
I will be at home in the
coures of two weeks and I
will stay at home three or
four days I can by corn on
seadar creek at three dollars
a bushel write to me soon
and give all of the news
so I will close for this time
so I remain your father until death
