State of Ala jefferson Co July 5th 1856

Dear Father and friends I avail myself
of the present opportunity of dropping
you a few lines to inform you that
I am well at present hoping that these
lines may find you all enjoying the
same blessing,
the connections are all well at pre so
far as I know Elizabeth has been sick
but is up again,
as I was going to the Po this morning
I thought I would drop you a few
lines to mostly for the purpose of informing
you that we will have a 2 or 3 days
meting at Shiloh Church embracing
the 3rd Sunday in this month
come up to it if you can,
I received your ll letter dated June
20th on the 28th which gave me great
satisfaction though the letter was small
bring every body with you if you can
get them started so no moure at present
but remain your
affectionate son until death, C.W.Foust
