June 11, 1863
Dear Wife I am still blest with
helth and an opportunity to right you
a few lines in ancer to your last
letter I received yeasterday even and was
glad to here from you and to here that
you was [all?] well and all a gitting a
long well this will inform you that
I am in very good helth [???????] [1]
hope that this will reach you and
finde you and all of [the?] family well
and a gitting on well I have not much
to right to you that is interesting but
I will right you a few lines just to
let you no that I have not forgot you
yeat I got a letter from Mother a few
days a go that Wesley brought to me
he has got here all right a gain R
Miller has come back a gain and
I beleive that his case is all right the
brought a shoing from his oficerses sho[ing?]
that he had not drawd any pay [backs?]
there and the Capt said that he would
not bother him if they did not compel
him to Wesley and Jim Bush just pases
I bleive they hardly speek they have had
no words yeat and I recon they will not

yout anything a bought it I no as much
as I want to for the les that we no a bout
such things the better it is for them so I
a low them to settle it them self Wesley
could tell me a grate deal a bought the
meeting and I was glad to here of it and
to here that there is so many that is trying
to searve god I am very ancus to see you
and I could tell you a grate deal that
I cannot right to you I rought you a letter
by Mr Atwell and I sent you fifty dollars
by him I sepose that you had not got it when
you rote to me wee have drawd our monney
a gain I have got fifty dollars more
that I can spair I want to send it to you
the first chance that I can git to send it
[saf?] wee are not a fairing a well as wee
did a while for wee [??] beefe but I
have never suferd for something to eat yeat
I do not think that wee will be apt
to have a fight here soon wee hear a
grate deal of very faverbul news from
vicksburg the boys is all well and sends
their respects to you all my best Love and
respects to you all may Got love and protect
