dear cousin I embrace
the presant opportunity to
write you a few lines to let
you know that we are all
well an [?????] hope
when these few lines comes
to hand they may find
you all well we receved
your letter last Saturday
an we was glad to here you
was all well george tell
William he had better
give out marring tell
the war is over for I dont
expect to marry tell I come
back I have got my girl
picked out that I expect
to marry when I come
back I am going to start
to the war to morrow

she married a fellow by
the name of brownlow
mabe thats not plain
his name is Brownlow
he is avery genteel honest
christain man Nancy
is not married yet though
she ses she will as soon
as the war is ended if my

to live very lonsome
this year for Francis is
married an Asa is going
