Mrs Fuller i recived your lette of the 15
and i was sorray to hear that you had not got
the letters that i had rout you for i hav rote
a letter every weke and sum wekes i hav rought
two John must hav taken them our of the post
offis i dont noe how to pervent it onley to tel
the post master not to let no one hav letters i drected
to you but willam ware or the old mr ware
i am well at this but i hav had a hard time of
the sore throught i hop these few lines will find
you in Joying good he[l]th i want fagin to tend
the p[l]ase if he will i want to split two thousan
and i will pay him for it when i com hom i want
you to right and let me noe whether ware has got
John or not for i feal so unnesa about him that i cant
rest night ot day let me noe whether you hav
got enney salt yet or not if you ant gote eney i must
[t]ri and send sum as soon as i can but salt is worth
a doler a pound hear all tho thay ar makin salt in
a bundence hear i think if you want corn you can

Mey Dear you say that i had bette stay at hom and
not a come in the armey wel per hapes i had but
i wood lik to now what i could hav done thar
for thare was nothing dooing nor no monney
to be had and i maid no crop of a count and
wee wood have perished all to gether but now i hav
maid a hansum sum of monney and if i git clere
from the armey in the springe i think i hav maid
a nuf to giv us astart in the world and note be

exposed a good deale to bad wether bute i hop that
god will giv me strenth to stand it i feale that i have
don a vrey wis trip of it and i look to him for
protection i hav stard Deth in the fase menney
