November the 24 1862
dear father it is with pleasure that
I take my Seat to let you know
How I am I am well and hope when
theos few lins Come to hand thay
May find you well I had a fine
Time a Coming up hear but I think
That if I was a Coming home
That it would be much better I
Ame a Cutting Wood over the mountain
About two miles from town but
I dont intent to doit much longer
Thay are abuilding anew Shop and
If I dont git in when it is finished
I ame a Coming home fore I dont
Intend to walk over the mountains
Much longer I heard so much talk
A bout the mountains that I wanted
To get yup heare but I have got my
belly full of them allready and
dont ceare if I neavr see any more
I dont know what I ame a getting
yet and wont know untill pay
day Comes thats next tusday weak
Tell all of my brothers and sisters
To write to me I have not much
time to write I Cut wood hard
All day and feel like Sleep at
Night it is tin oClock and all
is asleep . I must Come to aCleos
by saying that I remaine your
