Thomas G. Harding Letters

Thomas G. Harding (b. ca. 1815) was a Beaufort County, North Carolina farmer. In 1860 he was employed by William Augustus Blount to work as an overseer on Blount’s plantation, Meadowview, in the Chocowinity neighborhood of Beaufort County. William A. Blount (1792-1867) came from a wealthy and prominent family, had served in the war of 1812, and was elected a major general in the North Carolina Militia in 1815.
