March 17th 1863 Mrs Catharine Lefevers
& childrean Dear Wife I seat my self
this morning to rite you a few lines to lette
you now that I am at wel at this time and I
hope this may safley reach you and find
you and the little Childrean all in good
health and doing wel Dear & loving wife It
is with pain that I have again the privlag of
Riten to you without enny answer from you
In the last month Dear wife this makes five
letters that I have rote to you and one to Henry
and I have neaver Recd crach of a pen from
neather one of you what can Be the Reason of
it I cant say God only nows what Can Be
the Reason of it you tolde me in your other
letter that you rote a letter to me every weak
and I shorly dont think that you would
tel me sow if you did not do sow But it
seames that out of sow many I would

shorley get one sometimes every one els
In the company gets more letters then I do
and I Rite more letters then eather one of
them Dear wife I cant Beleave But what you
Rite as often as you say But I shorley dont think
that they letters air half mailed that you sent
to me or shorley some of them would get hear
Dear wife I had rote two letters to you to
Come and see me I Stil cep loocken for you
every day for the last weak I went to the Depot
for a weak every day thinken that I would get
the chance one time more to see your lovely
face again But al did fail I neather saw
you nor could not hear ennything of you
I reckon it was out of your power to come
But I now if Henry would a done sow
he could a come to a saw me But sow it is
I reckon he dont cear or think a nuff of me
to come to see me I now he wil say that he
had two much to do at this time But I now
that he could acome some time threw threw

winter if he had a don sow I wil not ask him
to come enny more If he thinks he cant loose
that much time I wil not ask him to come
now more I can say this much If he had abin
in my condition I shorley would a left everything
and awent to see him I had offerd to pay a
hand to work for him while he was own the
Road Dear wife I wil close own this for the present
I hope this letter wil reach you and then
I wil loock for a answer from it I wil send
the Balance of my letters to Ramsowers and
I want you to mail the Balance of yours
their you can get them as handy their as you
can ennywheir els and I think mine wil
shorley come Better to me I under stand that
Frank takes a paper from their and that way
you have the chance to send one to newton

I have spoke to Henry Dagerheardt a bou some lambs
of this Springs Lambes and he said If his wife
was willen to spair one to gow with you down and
loock at them and If she wil spair enny of
them I want you to get a Bout four that wil
Be one apeace for the childrean and one for
you tel Bud he most have the little [hea?] sheep
and sis and the Baby the rest tel Bud and
sis they most take good cear of them and
feed them tel grass comes you can keep them
in the stable lot tel gras comes and then
put them In that little feald at old Henrys
tel after harvest If you cant get them al
at Dagerheardts meby you can get some of
the Speagles I want you to get [?] if you can
