Dear and ever loving wife I seat my self this
morning to Rite you a few lines to lette you now
that I am only tolerable well at this time But
Iam Some better than I have Bin for the last
three or 4 Days Dear wife I taken sick the same
night after I had Rote you the Last letter
I was not well at the time Irote But I thoat
it would wair of with out saying enny thing
a bout it But the next morning I taken
a sevear chill and then high feaver with
it I have Bin taken Medisens for the last
4 Days and I am Stil not wel But I am in
hopes If nothing happens I will Be wel in
a Day or Two More My Dear wife I trust
to the good and eve mursiful lord that
when this shal Reach you it may find
you and the Dear little childrean all in
good health and Doing as wel as can be
Expected My Dear wife I am happy to
Say to you that I received your kind letter
that was Rote the 7 of this month it was
Just two weaks from the time it was
Rote tel I got it Dear wife it was a
long time awn the Road But it gave me
great sattesfaction to hear from you one
time more and Expecialy to hear that you
was all wel and getten a long as well with
your work as what you air Dear wife
How glad I would Be If I could Be at home
with you to help you with your good harvest
and all your other work and to get some
of your good potatoes and Beans

in good hopes that I wil get home some

is hardely a minute in the day But what
Ithink of you and the Dear little childrean
I have wished sow often to see you and
them a gain I think how they foloward me
about when I was their and now I am sow
fair from them and cant tel when on whether
ever I wil git to see them a gain in this
world or next But I trust to the merciful lord
that my life and yours and the Dear little
childrean lives may all be permited to live
to meet a gain in this world and neavor
have to part now more in this world tel
