Dear and loving
wife I have the pleasure
this sabbath morning to rite
you a few lines to lette you
now that I am doing tolerable
well at this time I am not
well yet But am own the
mend I am now at
Gordonsville at the Hospital
I have bin hear for the
last 3 days I expect they will
Send me from hear to
Lynchburg or Richmond as
they aint prepared to keep
us hear I think I will be able
in the corse of a nother week
to gow back to the Regt or at
least tell Weaver gets

walk out after my Bussness
you nead not give your self
Enny uneasiness about me take
good cear of your self and the
childrean Dear wife I should
Be vary glad to Be at home
with you for the next 2 months
But sow it is I cant and
I hope you will not think
hard of me for it Dear wife
please send me the things
that I Rote for by Weaver I
think If I had Something to
eat from you it would
Soon cure me I now you
will Be curious to now what
is the matter with me I have
had Pneumonia But only
a lite attack this is a boutt
all the news I have to Rite
