alage of riten you a few lines to inform
you that I have got Safe back to
my command I reached Camp
on fryday eavning I had no truble
in getten Back only the old train
Broke down one time but hurt
no one it Belaid us a bout 3 hours
Dear wife I am as well as yousal
and I hope when this Shall reach
you it may find you Stil improving
and find the childrean all well
Dear wife it goes myty hard with
me to get youstew camp a gain
this is Sunday morning and
the Drums air now Beaten for
gard mountain it Dont seam
like Sunday hear at all But

David Benson Benson was
the Doctor that gave me my
furlough and I always will respect
him for it he was a cleaver man
and had come out as a private
in the armey and he has some
Respect for a pore Soldier when
ever you get able to gow to preachen
have the Baby crisend in this
name Dear wife I have nothing
conserning the war that would
afford you eny sattesfaction the
people air generaly all in hopes that
the war will soon have to come
to a close But hope is all that we
can do Dear wife I am very
sorrow that I did not Bring flower
in the place of corn meal as we
