Dear Brother & Sister I recived
your letter the 3d but could not
ancer it till now my health is
good we hav marched sence that
time we marched the 11[?] to beryvil
and stad thar one day then went
to winchester in the night
no fiting yet the reble still
fli before our army the
folke hear say that old
Jacksin told his men that
if the yanks did not com
hear with in 24 hours he shuld
leve this place and sed fearther
more that we was al cowards and
darnot com but in About to
hours he found his picket coming
in and reported that we was
comin and so the old fool
pack up and was of in A

has his head quarters in
ther fotterfercasion and
MCland in manasas so
wher ar the reble I dont
know can eny one inform
me I can not rite enney

that blanket yet and
do not know how to
send for it rite sun
