Dear Brother and Sister I recived your
letter of the 12 of Oct and make hast to
ancer it my health is good. it is fine
weather hear now in Tenersee roseys ar in
bloom and every thing has the look of
spring. in sted of [storm?] we ar doing gard
duty on the Nashvill and Chatnuger
Rail Road lon [1] I sent $50 to you the
9 day of Aug and as you hab never
retten to me enney thing about it I
am afraid you hav not recived it I sent
it by Adams express so I will send the
recet so if you hav not recived it you can
get it I was sorry to hear that you
was sick I recived letter from Cynthia
she thinks of coming back to mass this
mounth she is well Joseph is bout the
same she says ther is not enney thing
going on hear it is dull times hear
we hav fine qurters to liv in and
duty in A bundants besids our gard
and picket duty we ar bilding A
fort witch takes about all thime we hav
but we dont hurt our selfs soulgers
never do it is the same to them work or
play it is the same pay ples to send
me 85 cents worth of stamps you will
find it in the recet you rot me sum
