Nov the 18 1861
Dear Sister
I now take my pencil
in hand to give you a litle sketch of
what is agoing on here
we are all in a hury this
morning agatting redy
to start for the seat if ware
I have got my mineture
and send it by Godard
Godard from Montegue
and it will be left at
wendell Depot and Eli
minetture is with mine
he want you to send it
to Betsy I have got
to and I want you
to let Hattie have
one of them and
when I get a chance

I will get some more
and send home
I am well and in
good spirts Eli is
well he is fixing
some gun locks
we have got some new
uniforms brodcloth
Coats ski blew pants
and overcoats and
military caps we
the story is now
that we shal go to
Fort Monroe we shall
go to day or to morrow
I write eny more
now so good by

PS I for got to tell
you that I rceved
a letter written
by Father mother
and Abby that is
the only one that
I have rceved since
I left Morganza
Abbys letter must
be here in
Washington I think
I am glad to hear
that that money
went through
safe  it is a load
off of my mind
