Winchester VA Feb 28th

Dear Father & Mother
well I am back again
in camp the same
as ever I arived here last
night just before dark
I did not get get along
very fast coming
back I did not get
away frome Greenfield
till seven Oclock and
I wase hindred at
most every place whare
I had to change carses
I stopped in Baltimore
frome Saturday night
till monday morning
I wase three days behind
time but the[y] wase
nothing said to me

it would have been
just the same if I
had stopped till monday
and now I wish that
I had. I got my furlow
just in time for thay
have stoped giving
them now I have not
got eny news to tell
I got back safe and
sound and it wase
a tiresome jurney to
you will direct your
letters the same as before
I believe that I have
wrote all that I can
think of that will bee
interesting to eny of you
so I mint as well stop
write as soon as posible some
of you so good by for now
