Dear Sister
I am agoing to write
you a letter and a
short one to I haint
eny news of eny importance
only that I am well
before you receve this
letter you will probly
see some money
thare frome me I
sent a hundred and
fifty dollars to
still last friday
and think that it
will bee thare by
the midle of next week
Mother wanted to know
how I found my house
and things thay were

all in perfect order
the[y] hase been a great
story agoing the rounds
here that our Regt
wase agoing to be
discharged but it hase
all blown over now
I gess. I did think
that the[y] wase something
in it at first but
I have lost all hopes now
but I shall come home
when my time out
I think Abby I believe
that I sha[n]t write much
more this time only
