Dear wife i have Just your Letter you
you will See By the Lette that we have
Left the Relay Camp I am glad of
it for a Change I went Down in the
Citty yesterday I Saw Capt Tomson he
is out here with his vessel i went
a Fishing with him 15 years ago and i
Saw the Defords that Live out here they
ar Secsesionist they Dont amount to
much i am a Cook now our others got
tried of it i wrote to mother to Day
we have not got Payed of[f] yet and I
dont nowe as we will till wee get home
I wood Like to get a Little monney to
Pay for my washing it is Raining
Like time here i had Some Beets
and Cabbedge to day for dinner i get
them of[f] an old darkey wee Shall
have Baked Beans for to morow
wee onley Bake 22 quarts for 80 men
there is a Lot of Rebels in Baltimore
But they Dont dare do any thing

i Sent in mothers Letter two Rebels Cards
i Shall Send another for nelley i would
Send more if i had them you must ask
Mr Jackmen about the State Pay dont
you give up you Can get it i got the
Bundle of[f] Capt Barlet i dont now But
what i Shall have to enlist again wee
Shall not Come home until the
time is out Congress met the 4th
and i will Close
