to Let you now how I am i have
not got an annser yet from yu
i wrote to you a week a go i am
anxious to hear from yu we Left
anaplis Last Saturday and went
into Camp two miles from the
City in a [?] of [?] the new
York 5 Rdg are on our right the
mane 25 Reg is here also the 27th
and the 21 first it is Cold here
But [?] [?] i went down to
the [?] on thanksgiving day John
[?] and John Parson went
with me up went to the [?]
house and [?] [?] Licks he is
a [?] old gentleman and

Resigned his commission in the
army i Sat down in the Chair
that he used and the desk that
he wrote on i tried to get a
Piece of the desk as a Relic of
that great man i here that
Capt Balet is getting up a Company
is it So i felt kind of homeSick
on Thursday i hope you had a good
thanksgiving i had a Soup for dinner
and a Piece of mince Pie and how
do you Suppose i got it you have
heard of Bill [?] he is the 25
Reg he come over to our Camp on
thanksgiving day to See the werthingpert
Boys and then we went over to
his camp and he treated us to a
Pie Bill is good Boy now he is
maried and got two Children
i think we Shall Stay here a

Bout a fornight But we may
Stay Longer i want you to write
as Soon as you get this and let
me now how you and the Children
are give my Love to all and Let
me now how mother and Father
is it is near dinner time we have
Beans for dinner to day i will
now get my Reguler Beans
i have Ben to dinner and felle

and Stamps i hope we Shall get
Paid of this week then i can
Send home Some money and
have Some myself to get a
