Dear wife i now have got another chance
to Send a Letter and i will imp[???] it
I have Left the Barke voltingeres and am on
Board it the Steamer R L Paulding and
Shall join my Regiment to day and i
am glad of it i tell you i am about
the Same as usual except a Little Cold i
hope that this will find you and the
Children all well i Cant write But a
few Lines i have just got time as
the Boat will Shortly [go?] i wrote to
you from Fortres [monroe?] and [???]
to [????] the [????] day give
my Love to mother and Father and
all the folks Kiss the Children for
me we Shall go up the Sound
tomorrow or next day to give Battle
to the Rebels the Bareke voltingere is
wh[??] on the Beach and i think
