Dear Wife your Letter of the 18th
i got Last night and i was glad to [?]
from you i Suppose you have got my Last
two Letters By this time the Stamps i was
very glad to get so Father got the Raisor well
i gesse it will Cut Better than the old ones
we have Ben Paid of[f] and i have Sent you
fifteen dollers By Lt. Creasey Package i
must keep a Little monney By me for i
have to get washing done and By Something
good to eat once in a while i had grean Peas
for dinner yesterday yes i gese Ned gurney
Can walk Just enough now he dont intend
to Come Back he intends to Suck the
goverment all he Can i heard about Jasion
Being wounded But want Frank Hopkins
in this fight the 11th Regt was in it
and John Pender was in the [????]
Regt yes i get a Letter about once a

Let them get Sick aunt Nelson wrote
to me about Mother and i think there

had Better Come and Live with you

the union By fall gov Stanly has
got her and he is a Native of

the old North State about Six hundred
union Prisoners Came down from
Raleigh yesterday to Be exchanged the
most of them where taken at Bull
Run they Belong in N H and

they will go home on a furlough and
then they Say they want to get a
Chance to at the Rebels they Say
that they have Been half Starved
and treated Bad to we had Some
New Hampshire Boys to Super Last night
and they Looked Rough i tell you Blast
the Rebels i Should Like to tie them
one By one to a tree and fire at
them all day i would take good
aim thats So well i have got a Little
more Rebels mony to Send and i
want you to give Lis drak some and
i dont Care what you do with the Rest
i hope this will find you and the
Children well and mother to give
my Love to all i Shall write
to aunt Nelson this week Send
as many Papers as you Can get for
i get them all now we have
had a good deal of Rain Lately
